Happy holiday Monday everyone! Hope you have enjoyed a lovely long weekend with family and friends and that my fellow Canadians aren't stuffed too full of turkey. I wanted to get my pink Christmas card posted to link up with Jingle Belles 'Pink Christmas' challenge (see my post about their challenge here) and also decided to join in with Sugar Creek Hollow's 'One, Two, Three' challenge.
The Jingle Belles challenge was to create a new Christmas card with some noticeable pink in it and for every card linked they will be donating $4.00 towards the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research. How great is that?! I think this card fits the 'pink' bill :O)
And the 'One, Two, Three' challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow was to create a card with one focal image, two patterned papers and three embellishments. I used this lovely vintage Merry Christmas image from Cottage Rose Graphics as my focal image and the two patterned papers are a pink quatrefoil paper from Free Pretty Things For You and a pink swirl paper from Sonya DeHart Designs (from her 'Winter Wonderland' paper collection). I distressed the edges of all the papers and aged them with some 'Tea Stain' distress ink.
For the three embellishments I used a strip of green 'gem' trim, three snowflake stick-ons and then glitter glue was my third embellishment.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look and thanks to Jingle Belles and Sugar Creek Hollow for their challenges that inspired this card. Have a great week everyone and happy creating!
